About Mr. Aerts
Mr. Aerts graduated from Wrightstown High School in Wrightstown, WI in 2007. He received his bachelor's degree in Music Education from the University of Wisconsin-River Falls in May, 2012. After graduating college, he served a year with the Catholic mission organization NET Ministries. After traveling the country with NET, he was the Director of Bands at New Ulm Area Catholic Schools in New Ulm, MN during the 2013-14 school year. He started teaching instrumental music at Lake Holcombe Schools in 2014 and has been here since. He loves teaching at Lake Holcombe because of the great community, students, and school!
Mr. Aerts is an active conductor and performer on the French horn in the Eau Claire, Rice Lake, and Ladysmith areas. He performs with the UW-Barron County Communiversity Band and have been a part of over 30 high school, amateur and professional musical theater productions in Wisconsin and Minnesota. He has recently performed in the Eau Claire Children Theatre’s Beauty and the Beast (horn) and Peter Pan (horn) and the Lake Holcombe School and Community Theatre’s The Sound of Music (conductor). Upcoming performances include Chippewa Valley Theatre Guild’s The Who’s Tommy (horn) this October. where the director may even put the French horn player on stage for a little bit! He also enjoys running, cross-country skiing, good tv shows, movies, watching the Brewers and Olympic sports, and plays a lot of board games!
